All Australians who want to visit Shenzhen, China will require a China visa.

Applying for a China Visa in Australia
Applying for a China Visa in Australia allows Australians to visit Shenzhen and all other areas of China too.
Where to apply for a China tourist visa
Australians can apply in person at the China Visa Application Service Centers (CVASC) in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. You can also apply for a tourist visa by post too.
Prices for a China Tourist Visa
The prices for Australians to get a single-entry tourist visa (in Australian Dollars with GST included) are as follows:
Regular (3 -4 Days) = $78.5 Express (2 Days) = $141.5 Rush (Same / Next Day) = $183.5 Mail (10 working days) = $95
The accepted methods of payment are cash, money order, bank cheque, company cheque, and credit card (Visa and Mastercard). No personal cheques are accepted and all company cheques / money orders should be made out too “CITS V Service (Australia) Pty Ltd”.
Make sure you book an appointment!
The CVASC centers will only accept visa applications from those who have made an appointment on-line. You can log-on to “Online Booking” and follow the instructions given. Please note, for the “Express” service you need to book a time before 12:00. It does not cost anything to book an appointment online.

China Visa Application Process by Post
After reading the required documents and material on the “www.Visaforchina.com.au” website you can then proceed with your visa application.
You have the choice of completing the form on-line and printing it out with the barcode or downloading a blank form and completing it by hand. The “Payment Authorization Form” needs to be downloaded and completed so the center can charge your credit card directly. You need to prepare a stamped and addressed “Australian Post Express” envelope for return delivery.
It is highly advisable that you note the tracking number after you send the application form to the center. You can check the status of your visa application online and passports will be returned by post after the visa has been granted.
China Business / Work Visa
Australians can also apply in-person for a visa to do business in China. It is very important that passports have two blank pages and are valid for 3 months past the visa duration (i.e. if the visa is for 6 months the passport must be valid for 9 months).
Requirements for a China Work Visa
Before applying for a work visa, the applicant needs to complete the Visa Application form and attach one (1) passport photo. As for applicants engaged in general business activities, the applicants will need a letter of invitation from a Chinese Company or a letter of guarantee from an Australian Company.
Applicants should also have supporting ID and have photocopied their passport photo page.
Shenzhen “Visa on Arrival”
Australians are eligible to obtain a special 5-day, single entry visa into Shenzhen from ports along the Shenzhen / Hong Kong border. This “Special Economic Zone Tourism Visa” cannot be extended and costs around HK$150.
The most popular port to apply for this visa is at the Luohu border. Application time is reported to take as little as 15 – 30 minutes. The special visa is also available at Huanggang and Shekou ports.
